if a kid say lived in powell valley and played sports there then moved to another part of the county lets say guest river after consolidation would that kid be elgible to play sports if they went to norton since they physically moved?

The kid would only be elgible for Central HIgh. To be elgible for Norton like UT said the kid would have to live in the City of Norton Corp. limits.Originally Posted by jazzyraider

if you physically move, you're immediately eligiible for the school whose "service area" includes your house, and that's it.
For example Grundy has the lower part of a hollow in the town limts. The towm put in a water line to the head of the hollow before the county had water in that area. So some non-Grundy ppl. have city water (and other city services, like town police patrols) because of an agreement with the county. Schools can do the same thing.
When they move its wherever parents want to enroll them, as far as guest river depends on how far up they live as long as its serviced by Norton mailing address they can go to Burton.
